Ingredients
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 large garlic clove, minced
- 1 teaspoon chipotle chile powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pound ground beef
- 5 eggs, divided
- 1/4 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 slices sharp Cheddar cheese
- cooking spray
- 4 hamburger buns, split
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 4 slices red onion, separated into rings
- 4 tomato slices
Instructions
1
Combine mayonnaise, minced garlic, chipotle powder, and a small amount of salt in a small bowl; store it in the refrigerator until ready to use.
2
Combine ground beef, beaten egg, seasoned bread crumbs, minced garlic, coriander, black pepper, and a minimal amount of salt in a bowl; mix the ingredients together using your hands until they are just combined. Shape the mixture into 4 patties.
3
Preheat an outdoor grill to a medium-high heat and lightly brush the grill with oil to prevent sticking.
4
Cook patties on preheated grill until they are browned on one side, approximately 6 minutes. Flip patties; continue grilling until they are cooked through and no longer pink in the center, approximately 6 minutes more. Use an instant-read thermometer to check if the burgers have reached a safe internal temperature of at least 160 degrees F (71 degrees C). Transfer cooked burgers to a plate; place a slice of Cheddar cheese on top of each burger and cover the plate tightly with foil.
5
Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat; spray it with cooking spray. Crack the remaining eggs into the skillet and immediately reduce the heat to a low setting; season the eggs with salt and pepper. Cook the eggs until their whites are set, about 2 minutes; add a small amount of water to the skillet, cover it, and cook for an additional 1 to 2 minutes.
6
Spread a layer of chipotle aioli, approximately 1 tablespoon, on the bottom of each hamburger bun; top each bun with a lettuce leaf, an onion slice, a tomato slice, and a cooked burger. Add one egg on top of each burger; cover the top of each hamburger bun with it.
