- 2 (.25 ounce) envelopes unflavored gelatin powder
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups milk
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract

Place a cup of water in a container and sprinkle gelatin over it; mix until the gelatin is partially broken down. Set it aside momentarily.

Heat 1 cup of water in a large cooking vessel until it reaches boiling point. Lower the heat to a medium-low level and gradually pour in the gelatin mixture; add milk, sugar, and almond extract to the mixture; continue stirring until both sugar and gelatin are fully incorporated; pour the resulting liquid into a large, shallow dish. Allow it to chill until set, typically taking 3-4 hours; cut into small pieces for serving.
