Ingredients
- 1 (16 ounce) package angel hair pasta
- 1/2 cup sesame oil
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon hot chili oil
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds, or more if desired
- 1 green onion, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
Instructions
1
Fill a large pot with salted water, making sure it's not too salty, and place it over high heat to bring the water to a furious boil. As soon as the water reaches its boiling point, gently add the angel hair pasta and immediately return it to a rolling boil. Continue cooking the pasta uncovered, occasionally stirring it gently, until it reaches the perfect doneness - still slightly firm in the center but cooked through, typically taking 4 to 5 minutes.
2
Transfer the pasta to a colander placed in the sink and drain it thoroughly.
3
In another large bowl, combine the sesame oil, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, chili oil, and sugar. Whisk these ingredients together until they form a smooth mixture.
4
Add the cooked pasta to the bowl and toss it with the dressing until everything is well coated. Finally, sprinkle some sesame seeds, chopped green onion, and sliced bell pepper on top of the pasta for added flavor and texture.
