- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup chicken broth

Combine the tomatillos, jalapenos, lettuce, garlic, cilantro, cumin, salt, and pepper in a blender or food processor; blend until the mixture reaches your desired level of coarseness

Heat the butter in a saucepan over medium heat; sauté the onions in the melted butter until they reach a state of transparency, approximately 5 minutes. Add the blended mixture and chicken broth to the saucepan; cook, stirring periodically, until the salsa reaches a suitable consistency, around 20 minutes
