Ingredients
- 1 (12 ounce) package radiatore pasta
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup salad oil
- 3/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup white wine vinegar
- 3 1/2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 cups cubed, cooked chicken
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped green onion
- 4 cups torn fresh spinach leaves
Instructions
1
Boil a substantial container of salted water until it reaches a rolling boil. Introduce pasta into the pot and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, or until it reaches a firm yet still slightly yielding texture; drain the water.
2
Simultaneously, heat oil in a compact skillet over a moderate-low temperature setting. Introduce sesame seeds into the skillet and cook until they turn a golden hue. Take the skillet off the heat source. Stir in soy sauce, vinegar, and sugar to create a savory dressing. Pour the prepared dressing into an airtight container, and set it aside for later use.
3
In a large serving vessel, combine cooked pasta, chicken breast, and 1 cup of the prepared dressing. Cover the salad with a lid or plastic wrap, and refrigerate it for at least 6 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
4
Right before serving, stir in chopped parsley, green onions, and spinach. If desired, toss the salad with the remaining dressing to add an extra layer of flavor.
