Ingredients
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, pounded thin and cut into 2-inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 4 tablespoons butter, divided
- 1 cup dry white wine
- 1/3 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons capers
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 (8 ounce) package angel hair pasta, cooked and drained
Instructions
1
Gather all necessary components.
2
Combine flour, pepper, and paprika in a shallow dish. Coat chicken pieces thoroughly with the dry mixture.
3
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until it reaches a golden hue, stirring constantly; set aside temporarily.
4
Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in the same skillet. Add chicken pieces and sear until they develop a rich brown color, about 5 minutes per side; transfer to a separate plate.
5
Pour wine into the hot skillet and bring it to a rolling boil over high heat, scraping the browned residue from the bottom and sides of the pan with a wooden spoon. Simmer until the wine has reduced by half, about 5 minutes.
6
Blend in chicken broth, reserved garlic, lemon juice, and capers; cook for an additional 5 minutes.
7
Stir in chopped parsley and the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to enhance flavor.
8
Lower the heat to medium, return chicken pieces to the skillet, and continue cooking until the sauce thickens, about 15 minutes.
9
Boil a large pot of lightly salted water to a rolling boil. Cook angel hair pasta in the boiling water, stirring occasionally, until it reaches an optimal tenderness yet still retains some firmness to the bite, 4 to 5 minutes. Drain well.
10
Transfer chicken pieces to a serving dish and drizzle with a few tablespoons of the savory sauce. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat with remaining sauce. Portion noodles onto serving plates and top with chicken pieces.
