Chicken Korma Curry
Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 6 tablespoons plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons mango chutney
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chile powder
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves, chopped
  • 1/3 cup sliced almonds
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (or 175 degrees Celsius, if you prefer).
2
Next, lightly coat a 2-quart baking dish with a thin layer of oil to prevent the chicken from sticking.
3
In a small saucepan, gently heat some oil and melted butter over medium heat. Allow the onions to soften in the pan until they become translucent.
4
In a separate bowl, combine the cooked onions, yogurt, mango chutney, minced garlic, turmeric, chili powder, and garam masala. Blend these ingredients together until you achieve a smooth sauce with the consistency of thick cream. If necessary, add a small amount of water or yogurt to achieve your desired consistency.
5
Add the blended sauce to a prepared 2-quart baking dish, and then place your chicken inside.
6
Place the baking dish in a preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
7
Once the chicken is done, sprinkle some sliced almonds over the top and serve hot.
