SERVINGS

Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
- 6 slices Swiss cheese
- 6 slices ham
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon granules
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Instructions
1
Combine flour and paprika in a shallow dish to create a coating mixture.
2
Bash chicken breasts to an even thickness of 6 millimeters. Place one slice of Swiss cheese and one slice of ham onto each breast, leaving a 1.3 centimeter border around the edges uncovered. Roll chicken over filling, coat evenly with flour mixture on all sides, and secure with toothpicks.
3
Heat butter in a large skillet over high heat. Add chicken and cook, turning occasionally, until it develops a golden brown color on all sides, taking 5 to 8 minutes. Add wine and bouillon. Lower the heat to a low setting, cover, and simmer until chicken is no longer pink in the center and the juices flow freely, approximately 30 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius).
4
Transfer chicken to a warm platter and remove the toothpicks. Whisk cream and cornstarch together in a small dish; slowly pour into the skillet, whisking constantly to blend with remaining wine mixture. Cook, stirring frequently, until sauce thickens, 3 to 5 minutes.
5
Pour the sauce over chicken and serve immediately.
