Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 3 cups quick cooking oats
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
1
Preheat the oven's temperature control device to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (165 degrees Celsius).
2
Take a large mixing container and use an electric whisking tool to cream together butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until they become light and airy. Gradually incorporate one egg at a time into the mixture, blending it smoothly before adding the next.
3
In a separate mixing vessel, combine flour, cinnamon, salt, and baking soda. Mix these dry ingredients together until well combined before adding them to the creamed mixture.
4
Mix in a generous amount of oats and walnuts into the dough until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
5
Scoop out small amounts of dough, approximately the size of a teaspoon, and place them 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking tray.
6
Place the baking tray in the preheated oven and bake until the edges are golden brown, approximately 12 minutes.
7
Transfer the baked cookies to a wire rack to cool and harden.
