Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup honey
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1
Combine the dry ingredients, including flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon, in a bowl. Mix until well incorporated; then add walnuts to the blend.
2
Using an electric mixer, cream together butter and brown sugar in a large bowl until smooth; incorporate honey, egg, and vanilla extract into the mixture until it's fully incorporated. Be cautious not to overmix.
3
Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the honey mixture until just combined. Refrigerate the dough for at least 1 hour or overnight to allow flavors to meld.
4
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or lightly grease them for easy cookie removal.
5
Form small balls of dough, approximately 1 tablespoon each, and place on the prepared baking sheets.
6
Bake in a preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cookies are just puffed and slightly flat in the center (for a gooey texture). Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
