Ingredients
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®)
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
- 1 lime, juiced
- cracked black pepper to taste
- 8 boneless pork chops, 1/2 inch thick
Instructions
1
Combine the vegetable oil, apple cider vinegar, seafood seasoning, minced garlic, basil, lime juice, and black pepper in a bowl to create the marinade. Place this mixture into a resealable plastic bag and add the pork chops, ensuring they are fully coated with the marinade. Remove any air pockets by squeezing the bag gently and then seal it tightly. Refrigerate for 4 to 6 hours, periodically turning the bag to ensure even marination.
2
Next, prepare the grill for medium-high heat by preheating it. Lightly brush the grill grates with oil to prevent sticking. Remove the pork chops from their marinade bags and discard any excess liquid.
3
Place the pork chops on the grill and cook until they reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F (63 degrees C), flipping them every 5 to 7 minutes on each side. Use a thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the pork chop to check for doneness.
