Ingredients
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 1/4 cups miniature marshmallows
- 2/3 cup evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 dash salt
- 1 1/4 cups cherry baking chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup chunky peanut butter
Instructions
1
Collect all necessary components and thoroughly coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with a generous amount of butter or cooking spray.
2
Combine sugar, marshmallows, milk, butter, and salt in a large saucepan over medium heat; continue to cook until the mixture reaches a consistency that is just shy of hard-ball stage, approximately 240 degrees F (115 degrees C), around 5 minutes.
3
Turn off the heat source. Introduce cherry chips and vanilla extract into the mixture, stirring until they have fully incorporated and melted.
4
Pour the cooked mixture into your prepared pan, allowing it to cool until it has reached a solid state.
5
Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter together in a microwave-safe glass or ceramic container, heating for 15-second intervals and stirring after each interval until smooth; pour the chocolate-peanut butter mixture over the cherry mixture, spreading it evenly across the surface. Allow this final layer to cool completely before cutting into squares for serving.
