- 1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 (1 ounce) package ranch dressing mix
- 1 (15 ounce) can white hominy, drained
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
- 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed

In a large Dutch oven, sear the beef and sautéed onion over medium heat until browned, then remove excess oil.

Next, add diced chilies, a pinch of salt, and some black pepper to the pot.

Then, combine cooked beans, water, a blend of seasonings, hominy, and crushed stewed tomatoes with the beef and onion mixture.

After that, bring the entire mixture to a rolling boil, then lower the heat and let it simmer for 30 minutes.
