Cheesy Rice Pork Chop Casserole
Ingredients
  • 1 (16 ounce) can chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 cups uncooked rice
  • 1 (10 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 pound boneless pork chops
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to a high temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (or 175 degrees Celsius, if you prefer metric).
2
Next, take a moment to prepare your cooking vessel by coating the inside of a 3-quart casserole dish with a generous amount of cooking oil or non-stick spray.
3
In a large mixing bowl, combine the chicken broth, rice, cream of chicken soup, and water. Using a sturdy whisk, blend these ingredients together until they form a smooth, cohesive mixture. Add the Cheddar cheese to this blend and stir until it's fully incorporated. Season your dish with a pinch of salt and a few grinds of black pepper to taste.
4
Arrange the pork chops in a single layer within the rice mixture, making sure they're evenly spaced and not overlapping. Add an additional sprinkle of black pepper to the top of the pork chops for extra flavor.
5
Place the casserole dish in your preheated oven and let it cook for approximately 80 minutes, or until the rice in the center of the dish is tender and the pork chops have achieved a golden-brown hue.
