Ingredients
- 16 ounces uncooked lasagna noodles
- 1 (26 ounce) can spaghetti sauce
- 1 pound cottage cheese
- 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
- 8 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to the optimal temperature of 375 degrees Fahrenheit (or 190 degrees Celsius, if you prefer metric).
2
Next, fill a large container with water and add a pinch of salt. Place the container over high heat on your stovetop, bringing it to a rolling boil. Submerge lasagna noodles in the boiling water and gently stir every now and then, allowing them to cook until they are tender but still retain a slight firmness when bitten into. This should take around 8 to 10 minutes, depending on your specific noodles.
3
Set the cooked noodles aside and focus on preparing the sauce. Combine tomato sauce and cottage cheese in a blender or using an electric mixer until you achieve a smooth consistency.
4
Begin building your lasagna by spooning a small amount of the sauce mixture into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Add a layer of cooked noodles on top, followed by a generous sprinkling of mozzarella, Cheddar, and Parmesan cheese. Continue layering the sauce, noodles, and cheeses in an alternating pattern until you reach the final cheese layer.
5
Place your lasagna dish in the preheated oven and bake until the cheese is bubbly and golden, taking anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes.
