Cheesy Ham Casserole
Ingredients
  • 10 ounces uncooked spiral pasta
  • 2 cups cubed fully cooked ham
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons prepared yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
1
Fill a large pot with salted water and place it on the stovetop, turning the heat to its highest setting. Bring the water to a vigorous boil, which should take a few minutes. Once the water is boiling furiously, add the pasta and stir it gently to distribute it evenly. Return the pot to a boil and continue cooking, occasionally stirring the pasta with a spoon until it reaches your desired level of doneness. This should take around 8 minutes. Remove the pot from the heat and carefully pour the pasta into a colander placed in the sink to drain.
2
Next, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Take a 2-quart casserole dish and grease it lightly with some cooking spray to prevent the pasta mixture from sticking.
3
Combine the diced ham, a generous amount of sour cream, a can of mushroom soup, 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, a spoonful of yellow mustard, and some chopped parsley in a bowl. Mix everything together until it's well blended.
4
Add the cooked pasta to the bowl and mix it in with the other ingredients. Season your casserole to taste by adding a pinch of salt and pepper, then transfer the mixture to the prepared casserole dish. Sprinkle a generous amount of mozzarella cheese and some chopped parsley on top of the casserole.
5
Place the casserole dish in the preheated oven and let it cook for about 30 minutes, or until it's hot and the cheese topping has melted and started to brown. Remove the dish from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
