- 1 pound bulk Italian sausage
- 1 (14 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or 175 degrees Celsius, for optimal cooking results.

Next, fill a large container with salted water and bring it to a rolling boil. Submerge the gnocchi and cook until they are tender, taking anywhere from 5 to 8 minutes.

Simultaneously, heat a skillet over medium-high heat and crumble the sausage into it. Cook and stir constantly until the sausage is evenly browned, allowing excess grease to drain off. Stir in spaghetti sauce and remove from heat.

Combine the cooked gnocchi with the sausage mixture, reserving half of the mozzarella cheese for later. Transfer this combination to a casserole dish.

Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top of the gnocchi mixture, covering it evenly.
