Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (4 ounce) can diced green chiles
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 1/2 cups cubed cooked chicken breast meat
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
- 6 (12 inch) flour tortillas
- 1/4 cup milk
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to the optimal temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
2
Next, lightly coat a large baking dish with a thin layer of cooking oil to prevent the tortillas from sticking.
3
Melt butter in a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat, allowing it to simmer gently. Then, sauté the green onions in hot butter until they become tender and soft, taking around 3 to 4 minutes.
4
Add a pinch of garlic powder to the saucepan and stir it in. After that, combine condensed soup, green chiles, and sour cream, mixing the sauce until it's well blended.
5
Set aside 3/4 of the prepared sauce in a separate bowl and reserve it for later use.
6
Add boneless, skinless chicken to the remaining sauce in the pan and stir until the cheese is fully incorporated.
7
Fill each flour tortilla with the chicken mixture, rolling it up tightly before placing it seam-side down in the prepared baking dish.
8
Mix a small amount of milk into the reserved sauce and spoon it over the rolled tortillas. Top with the remaining 1/2 cup of cheese.
9
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake until the cheese is bubbly, taking around 30 to 35 minutes.
