Cheesesteak Phyllo Bites
Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 cup diced fresh mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 6 ounces frozen thinly sliced steak (such as Steak-umm®), thawed
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes
  • 2 (1.9 ounce) packages mini phyllo tart shells
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
1
Heat your oven to the highest temperature setting, which is 350 degrees F (or equivalently, 175 degrees C). Arrange the phyllo shells in a single layer on a baking sheet.
2
Melt butter in a large, deep skillet over the highest heat setting. Add sliced mushrooms, chopped onion, and diced bell pepper to the skillet. Cook until the onion becomes transparent and the mushrooms have lost their firmness, taking around 5 minutes. Add sliced steak, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce to the skillet; cook for another 5 minutes.
3
In a separate, large bowl, blend softened cream cheese with chopped parsley. Combine the cooked steak and vegetable mixture with this cream cheese mixture, stirring until everything is well incorporated. Fill each phyllo shell with the steak and vegetable mixture, followed by a sprinkle of shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
4
Place the filled phyllo shells in the preheated oven and bake until the cheese is golden brown, taking approximately 5 minutes.
