Ingredients
- 1 (8 ounce) package manicotti pasta
- 2 cups whole milk ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 3 1/2 (32 ounce) jars spaghetti sauce
Instructions
1
Begin by filling a large container with salted water and bring it to a rolling boil. Submerge the pasta and cook for 8-10 minutes, or until it reaches a perfect al dente texture. Remove the noodles from the water with a slotted spoon and let them cool on a sheet of waxed paper or aluminum foil to prevent them from sticking together.
2
Next, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). This will ensure that the dish is cooked evenly and thoroughly.
3
In a separate bowl, mix together ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper until well combined. Fill the manicotti shells with this delicious cheese mixture.
4
Arrange the filled manicotti in a single layer at the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Spread a thin layer of spaghetti sauce over the top, followed by another layer on top of that. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes.
5
Remove the foil after 40 minutes and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes. This will allow the top layer to brown slightly and add a nice finish to the dish. Serve hot and enjoy!
