Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 6 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 cup frozen chopped spinach - thawed, drained and squeezed dry
- 1 egg
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to the optimal temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (or 175 degrees Celsius, if you prefer metric).
2
Next, take a moment to prepare your muffin tin. You can either lightly grease it with a non-stick spray or line each cup with a paper liner to prevent any sticking issues during baking.
3
In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients of flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk them together until they form a harmonious blend.
4
In another mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, Cheddar cheese, melted butter, spinach, and egg until they are perfectly incorporated.
5
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until a smooth batter forms.
6
Using an ice cream scoop or spoon, fill each muffin cup with approximately 2 tablespoons of the batter.
7
Place your muffins in the preheated oven and bake for around 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean and free of any remaining batter.
