  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 45 pitted green olives

Allow the cheese to come to a comfortable room temperature before proceeding.

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (or 190 degrees Celsius, if your oven prefers metric measurements).

Combine the cheese, butter, and paprika in a large mixing container using a pastry blender. Gradually incorporate the flour into the mixture with the pastry blender, then switch to using your hands until a cohesive, smooth dough forms that breaks apart into crumbs when pulled. If the dough seems too dry, add more shredded cheese to achieve the desired consistency.

Take a small portion of the dough and wrap it around an olive, gently rolling it between your palms to smooth out any wrinkles and seal the olive inside. Place the wrapped olive onto an ungreased cookie tray. Repeat this process with the remaining dough and olives, covering them in the refrigerator to firm up for about 10 minutes.

Bake the prepped olives in the oven until they're nicely browned, taking around 20 to 25 minutes. Serve them hot or at room temperature.
