Gradually add the broth and continue to cook, stirring continuously, until the mixture has thickened slightly. Introduce milk into the saucepan and cook, stirring constantly, until just a gentle boil is achieved.

To achieve a smooth consistency, blend the soup in small batches using a blender until it reaches your desired level of smoothness.
