- 1 large head cauliflower, cut into large chunks
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- salt and ground black pepper to taste

Process cauliflower into uniform, grain-like pieces using a food processor until they reach the desired consistency.

The next step involves heating a generous amount of olive oil in a medium-sized skillet over an intermediate heat setting; carefully add the cauliflower "rice" along with a pinch of salt and a few grinds of pepper to the skillet. Cover the top of the skillet with a lid and allow it to cook until heated through, taking approximately 3 to 5 minutes.

After the desired cooking time has elapsed, carefully lift the lid off the skillet and use a fork to gently separate and aerate the cauliflower mixture.
