Ingredients
- 6 bananas, sliced lengthwise
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1 tablespoon brandy
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), creating a warm environment for the dish to cook.
2
Next, take a 9x13 inch casserole dish and lightly spread a thin layer of butter over its surface, ensuring an even coating.
3
Cover the bottom half of the prepared casserole dish with a layer of sliced bananas, creating a foundation for the dessert.
4
Sprinkle half of the brown sugar over the banana layer, followed by a portion of butter pieces, some chopped pecans, and a few raisins. This initial layer will provide the base for the next.
5
Create another layer by adding the remaining banana slices on top of the first, and then repeat the process with the remaining brown sugar, butter pieces, pecans, and raisins. This alternating pattern will add depth to the dish.
6
Place the casserole dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
7
Remove the dish from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes, allowing the layers to set.
8
Finally, sprinkle a small amount of brandy over the top of the dish before serving.
