Ingredients
- 2/3 cup cornstarch
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup ground almonds
- 6 whole cardamom seeds
- 1/4 cup white sugar, or to taste
- rosewater to taste
- 1/4 cup blanched slivered almonds

Combine 1 cup of milk in a small bowl and whisk until the cornstarch is fully incorporated, leaving it to simmer for a moment before setting it aside.

In a separate medium-sized pot, combine the remaining 1 cup of milk, ground almonds, and ground cardamom. Heat over medium heat until the mixture reaches a rolling boil.

Once boiling, reduce the heat to a lower temperature and whisk in the previously prepared cornstarch mixture. Add sugar and rosewater, stirring until well combined.

Continue to cook the pudding for approximately 3 minutes, stirring constantly and ensuring it reaches the desired consistency.

Strain out any remaining cardamom seeds from the pudding before transferring it to individual serving dishes. Finish by garnishing with sliced almonds and serving warm or chilled, as desired.
