Ingredients
- 3/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups white bread flour
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons nonfat dry milk powder
- 1 teaspoon fast-rising dry yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
1
Prepare the dough mixture: In a large container, combine water, softened butter, bread flour, granulated sugar, milk powder, active dry yeast, and salt in that precise order. Select the 'Dough' cycle on your bread machine and wait for completion, approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes later.
2
Prepare the sauce simultaneously: In a small saucepan, heat over medium temperature and combine brown sugar, corn syrup, and melted butter. Stir constantly until the sugar is fully incorporated, taking about 3 minutes to accomplish. Pour this sweet mixture into an 8-inch square baking dish, followed by sprinkling chopped pecans on top. Set aside until ready to assemble.
3
Shape the dough: Remove the dough from the bread machine and place it on a lightly floured surface. Use your hands to punch down the dough, then roll it into an 8x12-inch rectangle. Dot the top with additional butter and sprinkle with cinnamon for extra flavor. Roll up the dough tightly, pinching seams together to seal it securely. Divide this rolled dough into 9 equal pieces and place each piece cut-side down in the prepared baking pan on top of the pecan sauce. Allow these dough rolls to rise, approximately doubling in size over the course of 1 hour.
4
Preheat your oven: Set your oven to a precise temperature of 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) before baking.
5
Bake the rolls: Place the prepared dough rolls in the preheated oven and bake until golden brown, taking about 20 to 25 minutes. Remove the rolls from the oven immediately and transfer them to a serving platter, allowing them to cool for no more than 3 minutes. Carefully flip the rolls over onto the platter, followed by inverting a serving dish on top of the baking pan. Gently lift the pan to release the rolls, allowing the sweet pecan sauce to flow over them.
