Ingredients
- 8 large eggs
- 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese at room temperature
- 2 tablespoons creamy salad dressing (such as Miracle Whip®), or as needed
- 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
- 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon Cajun seasoning, or to taste
Instructions
1
Begin by placing eggs into a saucepan, making sure to cover them completely with cold water. Next, place the saucepan over high heat and bring the water to a boil. Once boiling, cover the saucepan with a lid and immediately lower the heat to a low setting. Allow the eggs to cook undisturbed for 18 minutes, at which time they will be fully cooked. Remove the saucepan from the heat source and transfer the eggs to a sink filled with cold running water. Let them cool completely before proceeding. Crack the cooled eggs open and peel them.
2
Divide each egg in half lengthwise, taking care not to break the delicate white. Next, scoop out the yolks and place them in a mixing bowl. Combine the yolks with cream cheese, creamy salad dressing, pickle relish, hot sauce, salt, and black pepper. Use a mixing tool to beat the mixture until it is smooth and creamy.
3
Spoon the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves, making sure to fill them evenly. Finally, sprinkle each deviled egg half lightly with Cajun seasoning before refrigerating until ready to serve.
