Ingredients
- 1/2 pound fettuccine
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup sliced smoked sausage
- 2 roma tomatoes, diced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
- 4 mushrooms, sliced
- 3 green onions, chopped
- 1 cup cubed cooked chicken breast
- 1/2 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- fresh ground black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
1
Begin by filling a substantial container with salted water and placing it on the stovetop to reach a vigorous state of boiling.
2
Continue to boil the fettuccine until it has reached the desired level of doneness, still retaining a slight firmness when bitten into. This should take approximately 8 minutes; then drain the pasta and transfer it to a large serving dish.
3
In a large cooking vessel, melt butter and sauté minced garlic over medium-high heat. Introduce the sausage, tomatoes, broccoli, bell pepper, mushrooms, and green onion into the mixture.
4
Proceed to cook and stir until the sausage is nicely browned and the vegetables have become tender.
5
Meanwhile, add chicken, shrimp, white wine, cajun seasoning, milk, and 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese to the skillet. Continue to cook and stir until the shrimp have turned a bright pink hue on the outside and the meat has lost its translucency. This should take 3 to 5 minutes.
6
Finally, serve the cooked mixture over the pasta and sprinkle with pepper and an additional 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese.
