Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 cup diced onion
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 bay leaves
- 6 cups beef broth
- 1 medium head cabbage, shredded
- 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1 cup uncooked jasmine rice
Instructions
1
Activate your pressure cooker and choose the Saute mode. Heat a generous amount of olive oil in the pot and cook ground beef, ground pork, and chopped onion until the meat is broken down into small pieces and the onions are tender and translucent, approximately 5 minutes. Introduce minced garlic to the mixture and stir well. Switch off the Saute function and discard any excess fat that rises to the surface.
2
Add a blend of sweet brown sugar, savory Worcestershire sauce, tangy apple cider vinegar, smoky paprika, salt, and pepper to the pot. Mix in a rich beef broth, followed by a medley of cabbage, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and cooked rice. Close the lid securely and ensure it is locked in place. According to the manufacturer's guidelines, set the pressure cooker for high pressure and schedule a 15-minute cooking time. Allow an additional 10 to 15 minutes for the pressure to build up.
3
Release the built-up pressure using the natural-release method, as instructed by the manufacturer's guidelines, approximately 15 minutes. Remove the lid and unlock it before serving the prepared soup.
