- 2 pounds sliced fresh mushrooms
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 cup red wine

Melt butter in a cooking vessel over a moderate temperature setting, approximately 300°F. Introduce sliced mushrooms and minced garlic into the pan; cook and gently mix until the mushrooms have undergone a subtle color change to a light golden hue and the liquid has significantly diminished, roughly 10 minutes. Add fresh basil leaves to the mixture.
