Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter, or more to taste
- 1/2 head cabbage, cored and cut into 1/4-inch slices
- 1/2 onion, cut into 1/4-inch slices
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 2 teaspoons caraway seeds
- 1 teaspoon salt

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt butter within it.

Combine the cabbage, onion, and melted butter in the skillet, stirring frequently until the onion becomes transparent.

Allow the mixture to cook for approximately 5 minutes.

Next, add water, vinegar, sugar, caraway seeds, and salt to the skillet.

Gradually decrease the heat to a lower setting and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage becomes tender.
