Butter Herb Baked Perch Fillets with Parmesan Crust
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2/3 cup crushed saltine crackers
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 pound yellow perch fillets
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to the desired temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or equivalently, 175 degrees Celsius.
2
Next, melt the butter in a shallow container. Then, mix together crushed crackers, Parmesan cheese, basil, oregano, salt, and garlic powder in another shallow dish.
3
Meanwhile, dip the perch fillets into the melted butter. Subsequently, coat the fish with the cracker mixture on both sides.
4
Arrange the coated fillets in a single layer on a baking sheet. Finally, bake the fish in the preheated oven until the coating is golden brown and flakes easily with a fork, taking approximately 25 to 30 minutes.
5
An instant-read thermometer should be inserted into the center of the fillets to verify that they have reached a safe internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit, or 63 degrees Celsius.
