Ingredients
- cooking spray
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 pound ground buffalo meat
- 2 (1 ounce) packets taco seasoning mix
- 1 (14.25 ounce) can refried beans
- 2 cups guacamole
- 2 cups sour cream
- 1 (6 ounce) can sliced black olives
- 1 bunch green onions, chopped
- 3 jalapeno peppers, chopped
- 2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to the desired temperature of 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2
To ensure easy removal, lightly coat a 9x13 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
3
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Cook the onion in the oil until it becomes soft and translucent, taking approximately 5 minutes to achieve this.
4
Add the ground buffalo to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally with a spoon as it browns, for around 10 minutes.
5
To enhance the flavor of your dish, sprinkle the contents of one taco seasoning packet over the meat and onion mixture; mix well.
6
In a separate bowl, combine the remaining taco seasoning packet with the refried beans.
7
Spread the seasoned beans evenly in the prepared baking dish, making sure to cover the entire surface.
8
Layer the buffalo and onion mixture, guacamole, and sour cream over the beans in an alternating pattern.
9
Top your dish with a combination of black olives, green onions, jalapenos, and shredded Cheddar cheese.
10
Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake until the cheese is melted, and all ingredients are hot, taking approximately 30 minutes to achieve this.
