Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup hot sauce
- 1 (1 ounce) package dry ranch-flavored seasoning mix
- 6 cups crispy rice cereal squares (such as Rice Chex®)
- 4 cups crispy wheat cereal squares (such as Wheat Chex®)
- 1 3/4 cups dry-roasted peanuts
- 1 1/2 cups fish-shaped pretzel crackers (such as Pepperidge Farm® Goldish®)
- 1 1/2 cups Parmesan-flavored fish-shaped crackers (such as Pepperidge Farm® Goldish®)
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or 175 degrees Celsius.
2
Melt butter in a microwave-safe container using your microwave until it reaches a liquid state, approximately 25 to 30 seconds. Add hot sauce and continue cooking for an additional 20 to 30 seconds, until heated through. Introduce ranch seasoning into the mixture and stir well.
3
In a large container, combine rice cereal squares, wheat cereal squares, peanuts, pretzel crackers, and Parmesan-flavored crackers. Pour the melted butter mixture into this bowl and thoroughly mix everything together to achieve a uniform coating.
4
Divide the cereal mixture evenly between two ungreased 9x13-inch baking pans. Place these pans in the preheated oven and bake until the mixture reaches a golden color, around 15 minutes.
5
Remove the pans from the oven and thoroughly stir the mixture to ensure everything is well combined. Return the pans to the oven for an additional 15 minutes, or until the mixture is dry.
6
Spread the baked cereal mixture onto paper towels to facilitate cooling and prevent it from becoming soggy.
