Ingredients
- 1 (21.5 ounce) package chocolate chunk brownie mix (such as Duncan HinesĀ®)
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 3 cups cold milk
- 1 (3.9 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
- 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
- 6 ounces chocolate almond bark
Instructions
1
Begin by preheating your oven to the optimal temperature of 325 degrees Fahrenheit or 165 degrees Celsius. Next, take a moment to grease a standard-sized baking dish measuring 9x13 inches.
2
In a large mixing container, combine the contents of your brownie mix with eggs, water, and oil. Utilize a spoon or whisk to thoroughly blend the ingredients until they are well combined.
3
Pour the mixture into your prepared baking dish and spread it evenly across the surface. This step is crucial in ensuring an even distribution of ingredients.
4
Place your baking dish in the preheated oven and bake until the top layer is dry and the edges have started to detach from the sides of the pan, taking approximately 20-25 minutes.
5
Once the brownie has cooled completely - which should take around 30 minutes - cut it into uniform squares measuring one inch in size.
6
In a separate mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to cream the cheese until it reaches a smooth consistency. Add milk and pudding mix, then continue beating until the mixture is also smooth.
7
Fold in whipped topping until it is fully incorporated into the filling, resulting in a well-blended mixture.
8
Place half of the brownie squares at the bottom of your serving dish or trifle bowl. Spoon over them half of the filling, followed by half of the shaved chocolate almond bark.
9
Finish your trifle by placing the remaining brownie squares on top, followed by the remaining filling and a sprinkle of chocolate bark shavings. Refrigerate until set, approximately one hour.
