  • 1/4 cup red wine
  • 1/8 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed

Begin by preheating your oven to a high temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).

Next, place a large and substantial saucepan over medium heat on your stovetop. Melt the butter within this pan and cook the bacon and beef short ribs until they are nicely browned, stirring constantly throughout the entire process. This should take around 10 minutes.

Then, carefully transfer the cooked ribs and bacon to a 2 quart baking dish. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to enhance the flavors. Pour in a mixture of beef broth, lemon juice, and red wine, stirring everything together thoroughly. Sprinkle some dried oregano leaves on top to add a hint of earthy flavor. Mix well and cover the dish with a lid.
