Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 unbaked pie shells
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons white sugar
- 2 tablespoons bourbon whiskey
Instructions
1
Preheat the oven to its highest temperature setting, which is 425 degrees Fahrenheit or 220 degrees Celsius.
2
Mix together granulated sugar, brown sugar, and all-purpose flour in a large mixing container. Add softened butter, 1 cup of heavy cream, eggs, and vanilla extract; blend until everything is thoroughly combined.
3
Pour the mixture into 2 empty pie crusts, which have not been baked yet.
4
Bake the pies in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, then lower the temperature to a more moderate level of 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees Celsius and continue baking until the center is solid, taking around 45 to 50 minutes.
5
In a separate bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until it becomes stiff and holds its shape. Gradually add sugar to the whipped cream, stirring constantly until it reaches the desired consistency.
6
Gently fold in 1-2 tablespoons of bourbon into the whipped cream, taking care not to deflate it.
7
Serve individual slices of the pie with generous dollops of whipped cream on top.
