Bourbon Marinated Rib-Eye Steak
Ingredients
  • 1 cup water
  • 2/3 cup bourbon whiskey
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4 (6 ounce) beef rib-eye steaks
Instructions
1
Combine the water, bourbon whiskey, soy sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice in a bowl, stirring until well incorporated. Transfer the mixture to a plastic zipper bag, adding the rib-eye steaks as you go. Ensure the meat is fully coated with the marinade, then remove any air pockets by pressing down on the bag. Seal the bag tightly and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
2
Prepare the grill by preheating it over high heat. Lightly brush the grates with oil to prevent sticking. Next, remove the rib-eye steaks from their marinade, allowing any excess to drip off. Discard the remaining marinade and proceed with grilling the steaks on high heat, cooking for 1 to 2 minutes per side to achieve a nice sear. Once seared, move the steaks to a cooler part of the grill and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes per side, if desired.
