- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 4 1/2 cups water, divided
- 1 cup blackberries
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- ice cubes

Heat 3/4 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly to facilitate even dissolution. Allow the mixture to simmer for approximately 2 minutes or until sugar has fully incorporated, then permit it to cool down.

Combine blackberries and the remaining 2 tablespoons of sugar in a blender, blending until they form a uniform mixture.

Combine the cooled simple syrup, blended blackberries, 4 cups of water, and lemon juice in a separate container. Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher, discarding the solids that remain in the sieve. Serve the lemonade over ice.
