- 2 tablespoons quick-cooking tapioca
- 4 tablespoons butter, cut into 4 pieces

Preheat your oven to a high temperature of 425 degrees Fahrenheit (220 degrees Celsius).

Place one pie crust into a deep-dish baking dish to create the base of your pie. Set the second pie crust aside for now.

In a large bowl, combine black raspberries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, and tapioca flour. Mix the ingredients together gently until the berries are evenly coated with the dry mixture, then pour them into the prepared pie crust.

Add small pieces of butter on top of the berry mixture, followed by the second pie crust. Use a knife to make several small slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape during baking.

Bake your pie in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. After this initial period, reduce the oven temperature to a moderate level of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius) and continue baking until the top crust is golden brown, approximately 45 minutes.
