Biscuits and Hash Brown Casserole
Ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon butter, or as needed
  • 1 (16 ounce) package bacon
  • 1 (16 ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 8 frozen hash brown patties, or to taste
  • 8 eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions
1
First, preheat your oven to a high temperature of 425 degrees Fahrenheit or 220 degrees Celsius.
2
Next, take a 9x13-inch baking dish and apply a generous amount of butter to it. Set the dish aside for now.
3
In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until it reaches your desired level of crispiness but not yet fully darkened, taking around 6 to 8 minutes. Remove the cooked bacon from the skillet with a slotted spoon and place it on paper towels to drain excess grease.
4
Then, cut the biscuits lengthwise in half and arrange them at the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Ensure that the dough covers the entire surface, creating a solid base for your casserole.
5
Add hash brown patties on top of the biscuit layer, followed by a layer of crispy bacon.
6
In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs and milk until well combined. Pour the egg mixture over the casserole, creating a smooth and even layer.
7
Finally, sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese over the top of the casserole.
8
Bake the casserole in your preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly, and the bacon is crispy. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
