Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef sirloin
- 1/2 onion, grated
- 1 tablespoon grill seasoning
- 1 tablespoon liquid smoke flavoring
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon adobo sauce from canned chipotle peppers
- 1 chipotle chile in adobo sauce, chopped
- salt and pepper to taste
- 6 (1 ounce) slices sharp Cheddar cheese
- 6 hamburger buns
Instructions
1
Heat up your outdoor grill to a medium-high temperature.
2
Mix together ground sirloin, finely chopped onion, a sprinkle of grill seasoning, a dash of liquid smoke, a splash of Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, a spoonful of adobo sauce, and a pinch of chipotle pepper in a large bowl. Shape the mixture into 6 patties, adding a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
3
Put the patties on the preheated grill and cook until they are no longer pink in the center, checking with an instant-read thermometer to ensure they reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees F (70 degrees C). Just before they're done, place a slice of Cheddar cheese on top of each burger.
4
Transfer the cooked burgers to buns and serve immediately.
