Bierock Casserole Bake
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 (16 ounce) can sauerkraut, drained and pressed dry
  • 2 (8 ounce) cans refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 (8 ounce) package shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions
1
Firstly, preheat your oven to the optimal temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (or 175 degrees Celsius for those using metric measurements).
2
To begin preparing the dish, heat a large skillet over high heat and cook the onion until it becomes caramelized. Then add ground beef to the skillet, stirring constantly as it browns. Remove excess fat from the skillet using a paper towel or by tilting the pan, before adding the drained sauerkraut to the mixture. Allow it to heat through and set it aside for later use.
3
Next, take a 9x13-inch baking dish and lightly grease the bottom with butter or cooking spray. Then, unroll one package of crescent roll dough and press it firmly into the prepared baking dish.
4
After that, spread the beef mixture evenly over the dough, followed by the second package of crescent roll dough. Press any seams together firmly to create a cohesive surface, and sprinkle shredded cheese liberally over the top.
5
Finally, place the prepared dish in a preheated oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the dish is cooked through.
