- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 tablespoons chopped onion
- 1 1/2 cups uncooked white rice
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup picante sauce

Preheat the skillet by placing it over medium heat on your stovetop.

Melt a generous amount of oil into the large, heavy skillet you're using.

Once the oil has warmed up, add a sliced onion to the pan and stir it gently until it becomes soft and translucent.

This process should take around 5 minutes, at which point you'll know the onion is cooked to perfection.

Next, add a serving of rice to the skillet and stir it constantly until the grains start to transform into a golden brown hue.

Now, pour in some chicken broth and add the picante sauce to the mixture.
