- 3 (12 ounce) cans light beer
- 4 onions, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 cup sauerkraut, drained
- 10 (6 inch) bratwurst buns

In a slow cooker, merge the bratwurst links with melted butter, beer, caramelized onions, an infusion of cayenne pepper and garlic powder, as well as minced garlic and brown sugar. Seal the lid and set to High heat mode. Cook for 4 hours, stirring every hour to prevent scorching. Introduce sauerkraut into the mixture and continue cooking for an additional hour.
