Ingredients
- 2 (16 ounce) beef sirloin steaks
- 1/4 cup dark beer
- 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
1
Preheat your grill to its highest temperature setting.
2
Take a fork and gently prick holes all over the surface of your steaks, then place them in a large serving dish. In another bowl, combine the beer, teriyaki sauce, and brown sugar to create a marinade. Pour this mixture over the steaks, allowing them to sit for about 5 minutes. Next, sprinkle half of the seasoned salt, pepper, and garlic powder over the steaks and let them sit for 10 minutes. Flip the steaks over, then sprinkle with the remaining seasoned salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Continue marinating for an additional 10 minutes.
3
Remove the steaks from their marinade and pour it into a small saucepan. Bring the marinade to a boil over high heat, then cook for several minutes until it has thickened slightly.
4
Before grilling the steaks, lightly brush the grill grate with oil to prevent sticking. Grill the steaks for 7 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. During the last few minutes of grilling, use a spoon to baste the steaks with the boiled marinade, which will add flavor and help keep them juicy.
