Ingredients
- 2 pounds sirloin tips, cubed
- 1/2 yellow onion, chopped
- 2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1 (1.25 ounce) package beef with onion soup mix
- 2 (16 ounce) packages egg noodles
Instructions
1
Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat to sear the beef sirloin tips with an onion in the hot pan until the beef is nicely browned, approximately 5 minutes.
2
Combine a can of cream of mushroom soup, milk, red wine, and beef with onion soup mix in a separate bowl to create the sauce, then pour it into the skillet and stir until the beef is evenly coated with the sauce mixture; bring to a gentle boil, lower heat to low, place a lid on top of the skillet, and cook until the beef tips are tender, roughly 2 hours.
3
Lower heat to its lowest setting and continue cooking until the beef pulls apart effortlessly with a fork, at least 4 hours longer.
4
Boil a large pot of lightly salted water in preparation. Cook egg noodles in the boiling water, stirring occasionally until cooked through but still retains some firmness to the bite, approximately 5 minutes. Drain excess water.
5
Ladle the beef tips mixture over cooked egg noodles to serve.
