Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 2 cups shredded Chinese cabbage
- 1 medium carrot, shredded
- 1 medium onion, minced
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 (14 ounce) package wonton wrappers
Instructions
1
Combine ground beef with shredded cabbage, sliced carrot, and chopped onion in a spacious container. Blend the ingredients together until they are well combined.
2
Add beaten egg, soy sauce, vegetable oil, sugar, and salt to the mixture and stir until everything is incorporated seamlessly.
3
Place a generous amount of the beef mixture onto the center of a wonton wrapper. Dampen the edges of the wrapper with a few drops of water, then fold the dumpling in half and press the edges together firmly to seal it securely.
4
Create a textured pattern along the sealed edge by pinching and gently pressing together small sections, mimicking the ripples on water. Repeat this process to create the remaining dumplings.
5
Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a rolling boil. Carefully add the dumplings to the boiling water, then cook until they rise to the surface, taking around 5 minutes. Drain the cooked dumplings and serve.
