Ingredients
- cooking spray
- 3/4 pound ground turkey
- 3/4 pound lean ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons prepared yellow mustard
Instructions
1
First, preheat your oven to the desired temperature of 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), ensuring it reaches this level before proceeding.
2
Next, take a 9x13-inch loaf pan and give it a light coating of cooking spray to prevent the meatloaf from sticking.
3
Then, in a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey and ground beef along with some finely chopped onion. Add milk, bread crumbs, an egg, a few sprigs of rosemary, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Mix everything together until just combined.
4
After that, press the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan, making sure it's evenly distributed.
5
In a separate bowl, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard until smooth. Pour this mixture over the meatloaf in the pan.
6
Finally, place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center reads at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C), which should take around 1 hour. It's recommended to let the meatloaf rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
